Short Bio

Marci Geller has been gracefully riding the balance between artist and songwriter since “Hair was big, and skirts were short.” Her credentials include being twice named an “Editor’s Choice” as one of the top songwriters twice by Independent Songwriter Magazine. She has performed on Live! with Regis, Good Day NY and CNN Worldbeat, and her music can be heard in soundtracks on ABC Family, MTV, VH-1, PBS, A&E, Discovery Channel, USA Network and others. She toured for two years as the support act and backup vocalist for legendary guitarist Ritchie Blackmore’s Folk-Renaissance band Blackmore’s Night, where she performed her stirring solo sets for 10,000+ people every night.

Having shared the stage with luminaries Christine Lavin, James Maddock, Vance Gilbert, both Maddock and Gilbert made guest appearances on her CD Open Book. Geller’s album Square Peg features duets with renowned musicians Lori Lieberman and David Buskin. She was an Official Showcase Artist at the prestigious Sync Summit and Durango Songwriters Expo. Her song “Resist” was appeared on the “Together As One” Project for Social Justice which sold out in two days after its release.

She has released seven full-length albums on Sonic Underground, the label she co-founded with Husband/Producer/Engineer Gianni DiMauro. She deftly combines elements of Jazz, Classical, Americana, Folk and Pop, and these days has become a “studio rat” churning out songs for sync and distribution to her monthly-muses subscribers.

She also writes and produces for Kora Music Group/Ocelot Publishing for the Asian market, as well as Sync Agencies PanFurWare LLC and For Goodness Sync where she nimbly writes and produces tracks ranging from Pop to Hip Hop.

Geller took a 1 ½ year hiatus from live performance since experiencing the tremendous loss of her parents and father-in-law. “I metaphorically burned the whole house down in order to reimagine what my life would like moving forward. I felt like I was in the middle of a vast ocean with no life preserver, just treading water until I spotted land. Thankfully, the music kept coming, so writing and recording gave me a sense of purpose when social anxiety dug its claws into me.”

On March 1, 2023 she went live on social media unannounced, and performed a short set. Within minutes she was flooded hundreds of well wishes and accolades. “Baby-steps sounds trite. It’s more like scaling a mountain without any gear…and as always, knowing that it is exactly what I was put here for.”
